  • Former Saints Smith and Broxton Face off This Weekend at the Trop

    Gainesville, FL – For the first time in their careers, two former Santa Fe College standouts, and current Major Baseball Players, Mallex Smith and Keon Broxton will be on the same field when the Tampa Bay Rays and Milwaukee Brewers face off in St. Petersburg tonight at 7:10 p.m. Both players man centerfield for their respective teams.

    Gainesville, FL – The 2016-17 season was successful on the courts and diamonds for the Santa Fe Saints, with all five finishing with winning records, four making their FCSAA State Tournament, and two won their Mid-Florida Conference titles. The real success however, came in the classroom. A record 15 Saints were named Academic All-Americans and 44 student athletes overall were honored for their academic work.
  • Troy Bacon Selected in Fourth Round of MLB Draft

    Gainesville, FL – For the second year in a row, Santa Fe Saints pitcher Troy Bacon heard his name called at the Major League Baseball First Year Player Draft, this time in the fourth round (110 overall) by the Atlanta Braves. In 2016, the Colorado Rockies drafted Bacon in the 37th round, but failed to sign him to a contract.
  • Saints and Chipola Meet in Familiar Spot at FCSAA Tourney

    Lakeland, FL – The defending FCSAA Champion Santa Fe Saints will meet a familiar postseason foe on Tuesday afternoon when they play Chipola College at 4:00 p.m. at the FCSAA Tournament. The NJCAA #13/FCSAA #3 Saints and Indians played three times at last year’s tournament with SF winning two, including the championship game 6-4.
  • Saints Season Ends at the FCSAA Tournament

    Lakeland, FL – The #1 team in the nation entered Tuesday’s matchup with the Santa FE Saints having scored 33 runs in three games, and equaled their average, plating 11 in an 11-1 win over the Santa Fe Saints. No one has been able to slow down Chipola College as they picked up their fourth straight win at the tournament to move into the championship day on Wednesday needing to beat Palm Beach for a spot at the JUCO World Series. Palm Beach would need to beat the Indians twice to earn a spot in Grand Junction, CO.
  • Saints Defeat NW Florida 7-1, Advance on at FCSAA Tournament

    Gainesville, FL – For the second time in three days Santa Fe pitching stifled Northwest Florida State College bats. This time it was Sean Gabel who held the Raiders to just four hits in a complete game effort. He struck out six and didn’t allow a run after the first inning.

  • Saints Roll Past NW Florida at FCSAA Tournament, 7-2

    Gainesville, FL – The Mid-Florida Conference Pitcher of the Year and First Team All-FCSAA member Robert Girgis lived up to his billing on Saturday afternoon, striking out nine over eight frames, allowing just three hits and one walk in a 7-2 Santa Fe victory. The win moves SF on in the winners bracket of the FCSAA Tournament.
  • Saints Set to Defend FCSAA Title May 6-10

    Gainesville, FL – The FCSAA Tournament opens up on May 5 in Lakeland at Joker Marchant Stadium, but for the first day of games, the Saints will be spectators due to a first round bye. The Mid-Florida Conference champions will watch Eastern Florida State College and Northwest Florida State College battle it out for the right to play the defending champs on Saturday, May 6. Every game of the tournament will be broadcast on the FCSAA YouTube channel.
  • Goebel, Seven Others Named All-MFC; Wiggs Coach of the Year

    Gainesville, FL – The Santa Fe Saints were well represented on the All MFC team after their second straight championship, placing eight players on the first and second team. In addition to that, Saints players won Fireman of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, and Pitcher of the Year. Coach Johnny Wiggs was named the Coach of the Year for the seventh time.

    Gainesville, FL – The defending Mid-Florida Conference champions won their second straight title on Friday afternoon in Daytona, defeating the Falcons 10-1. The championship is the Saints seventh in the last 11 seasons.
  • Saints Mow Past Lake Sumter 16-5 in Seven Innings

    Gainesville, FL – For the fourth time in the last eight games, the Santa Fe Saints won by ten run mercy rule, this time 16-5 over Lake Sumter State College. SF (35-11, 18-5 MFC) swept the four game season series, outscoring the Lakehawks 45-12 in the process. With a win in the regular season finale at Daytona State College on Friday, the Saints would clinch their second straight Mid-Florida Conference championship.
  • Goebel's Three Run Homer Powers Saints Past CF Patriots, 6-2

    Gainesville, FL – Sean Gabel started the game on the mound and pitched 5.1 innings before turning it over to closer Troy Bacon for the final 3.2 innings in the Santa Fe Saints 6-2 win over the College of Central Florida Saturday afternoon in Ocala. Gabel improved his record to 7-1 and Bacon picked up his eighth save. The victory give SF a four game season sweep over Central Florida.
  • Saints Run Rule St. John's 11-1, Clinch Tournament Berth

    Gainesville, FL – Santa Fe College wasted no time putting away Mid-Florida Conference rivals St. John’s River State College on Friday afternoon in Gainesville, run ruling the Vikings 11-1 in seven innings. The win moves SF (32-11, 15-5 MFC) within one half game of SJRSC (16-5 MFC) at the top of the MFC standings and gives them the tiebreaker, having beaten the Vikings three out of four. They have also now clinched a spot in the FCSAA Tournament in Lakeland at Joker Marchant Stadium, May 5-10.
  • FSC-J Takes Down Saints In 11 Innings, 9-5

    Gainesville, FL – The Santa Fe Saints (31-11, 14-4 MFC) mounted a furious rally in the ninth inning Monday afternoon in Gainesville against Florida State College-Jacksonville, scoring five runs in the bottom of the ninth to tie the score 5-5, sending it to extra innings.
  • Saints Fly Past Daytona State, 15-2

    Gainesville, FL – The Santa Fe Saints offense was back in full swing on Friday afternoon, putting 15 runs on the board in a 15-2 victory in seven innings over Daytona State in the rubber match of the three game series. It’s the second time in three games that the Saints run ruled DSC. SF won on Monday in Gainesville 14-4 in seven innings.

    Gainesville, FL – Two days after the Santa Fe Saints mercy ruled Daytona State College, the Falcons showed they still had some fight, defeating SF 9-3 in Daytona Beach. The win was big for DSC as it keeps them in contention for third place in the Mid-Florida Conference and a shot at the FCSAA Tournament.

    Gainesville, FL – Sean Gabel struck out eight Lake Sumter batters in seven efficient innings on Saturday afternoon in Gainesville, blanking the Lakehawks to lead SF to a 9-0 victory. He needed just 76 pitches to earn his fifth win of the season.
  • Offense Backs Girgis in Saints 8-3 Win Over Lake Sumter

    Gainesville, FL – Robert Girgis, the reigning NJCAA National Pitcher of the Week, got off to a rough start on Friday afternoon against Lake Sumter giving up three straight hits in the first inning against Lake Sumter State College, including a three run homerun to put Santa Fe in an early hole. From there he was lights out, not allowing another hit for six inning.

    Gainesville, FL – The Santa Fe Saints (27-9, 10-3 MFC) jumped in to first place in the Mid-Florida Conference on Wednesday afternoon thanks to a 12-4 win over Lake Sumter State College and a loss by St. John’s River State to Florida State College at Jacksonville.

  • Saints Hit Five Homers in 14-6 Win Over Seminole State

    Gainesville, FL – Santa Fe first baseman Leo Rodriguez had a monster day at the plate on Monday afternoon in Sanford for the NJCAA #15/FCSAA #3 Santa Fe Saints, blasting a home run along with two other hits in a five RBI effort. In all the Saints (26-9, 9-3 MFC) pounded out 15 hits, five homeruns, and scored 14 runs to clinch the three game series against Seminole State College.

    Gainesville, FL – The Santa Fe Saints struggled offensively on Friday afternoon in Sanford against Seminole State College, managing just two runs on four singles and a double by Leo Rodriguez. The Raiders did just enough, getting the winning hit in the eighth inning off Saints closer Troy Bacon.

    Gainesville, FL – Kyle Phillips and Wyatt Meisterhans both homered for the nationally ranked Saints on Wednesday in Gainesville, helping NJCAA #15/FCSAA #3 SF to their third straight win over the College of Central Florida, 9-4. Ricky Miranda (4-0) went 3.1 innings in relief of Sean Gabel to pick up the win. The victory keeps Santa Fe on top of the Mid-Florida Conference standings.
  • Girgis Throws Eight Shutout, Saints Beat CF 6-0

    Gainesville, FL – Santa Fe Saints sophomore pitcher Robert Girgis was at the top of his game on Monday afternoon, shutting out the College of Central Florida over eight innings to lead SF to a 6-0 win over the Patriots. The win keeps the Saints (23-8, 6-2 MFC) at the top of the Mid-Florida Conference standings.
  • Gabel and the #3 Saints Rally Past #7 St. John's River, 6-4

    Gainesville, FL – The FCSAA#3/NJCAA #19 Santa Fe Saints rallied late over St. John’s River State College on Friday afternoon in Gainesville, picking up their second win in three games over the FCSAA #7 Vikings. SF won the first one in Palatka 1-0 on March 11 and dropped the second 7-5 in Palatka on March 15. The win moves SF to 21-8 overall and 4-2 in the MFC. SJR drops to 21-12 and 6-3 MFC.
  • Alex Goebel Hits Walkoff Homer in the Ninth, Saints Win 10-9

    Gainesville, FL – For the second straight day the FCSAA#3/NJCAA #19 Santa Fe Saints (22-8, 5-2 MFC) needed a late rally to come out victorious, this time facing a five run deficit heading into the eighth. Alex Goebel capped the comeback with a deep homerun to left field in the bottom of the ninth, sending the Saints bench into a frenzy.
