Marquis and the Saints Hit their Way to Two Wins, 20-0 and 17-1

Gainesville, FL – In their final games before starting conference play, the Santa Fe Saints were locked in, putting up 37 runs in 14 innings of work against Inspiration Academy Post Grad on Monday in Gainesville.  They wrap up the nonconference portion of their schedule with an 18-4 record and a #2 FCSAA ranking.

Kyler Marquis (3) hit two homeruns to lead the SF assault, part of a five homerun day for the Saints. Andrew Eyster (6), Cade Westbrook (1), and Jarrod Cande (1) also homered.

Mitch Campion (4-0) was the winner in game one and Max McKinley (3-0) was the victor in game two.

Eyster finished the day with five hits, five RBI, and six runs scored to go along with his homerun.  He now has 10 multiple hit games on the season.  Kyler Marquis had a perfect 4-for-4 game two with four runs scored and four RBI, Jarrod Cande had five RBI in game two, Zach Hand plated four runs in game one, and Brock Edge had four hits.

The Saints will open up Mid-Florida Conference play on Saturday, March 3 at home against Florida State College-Jacksonville at 1:00 p.m.  Fans can watch live on
