Gainesville, FL – The NJCAA #6/FCSAA #2 and Mid-Florida Conference Champion Santa Fe Saints will begin their quest for a FCSAA State title on Friday, May 11 when they take on Hillsborough CC at Joker Marchant Stadium in Lakeland at 7:00 p.m.
The tournament is double elimination, with the winner advancing on to the NJCAA National Tournament in Grand Junction, Colorado. SF is a three time winner of the FCSAA Tournament, taking home the trophy in 1985 under then Head Coach and current assistant coach Harry Tholen, and twice under current Head Coach Johnny Wiggs in 2009 and 2016.
The Saints finished the regular season 37-9 and were the top ranked team in the NJCAA for three weeks, tied with Walters State for the most time atop the national poll. They hit .326 as a team with 37 homeruns and a team ERA of 3.74.
Hillsborough enters the tournament with a 28-23 record, but have been hot as of late, winning six of their last eight games, including two over FCSAA #1 State College of Florida.
The winner of the SF and HCC game will face off against the winner of the Miami Dade/Chipola contest. The loser will move into the loser's bracket but will not be eliminated from contention.

Game 1 - (1) State College of Florida (42-12-1) vs. (7) Tallahassee (36-19), 10:00 am
Game 2 - (4) Broward (34-16) vs. (6) Central Florida (31-13-1), 1:00 pm
Game 3 - (3) Chipola (38-15) vs. (5) Miami Dade (35-15), 4:00 pm
Game 4 - (2) Santa Fe (37-9) vs. (8) Hillsborough (28-23), 7:00 pm
A tournament pass is $25.00. A day pass, good for a day of games, is $10.00.
