SF Stays Alive at FCSAA Tourney with 6-3 Win Over Tallahassee

Lakeland, FL – The NJCAA #7/FCSAA #2 Santa Fe Saints (39-10) took a 3-2 lead into the seventh inning of a suspended game against Tallahassee CC that was delayed since yesterday, and held on for the 6-3 win.

Brock Edge was 4-for-5 with a homerun and two RBI to lead the way offensively.  Both RBI came today in the final three innings.  The homer was the 10th of the season for Edge.

Mitch Campion tossed six innings allowing just two runs and Garrett Mathes picked up the save with three innings of one run ball.

Three of the Santa Fe runs came via passed ball or wild pitch and Cade Westbrook had the other RBI.

SF will now await the winner of the Chipola College and State College of Florida game scheduled to take place on Tuesday, May 15 at 9:00 a.m.  The Saints game will be the third game of the day and take place 30 minutes after the conclusion of game two.  The 9:00 a.m game is the first of three games for the day, with the Santa Fe game being the last.
