The Saints Fe Saints dropped a pair of one-run games 1-0, 6-5 to Gulf Coast State College Saturday afternoon after losing to Northwest Florida State College 11-1 Friday.

"We hit a little bump in the road." said SF head coach Johnny Wiggs. "Every season is going to have its adversity. We just need to get back to work and get through it."

The Saints (16-6) were held to just one hit in Saturday's opener, a single by Parker Beiderer to open the game in the top of the first.

"Churchill threw great in game one and kept us in the game against one of the top pitchers in the state," said Wiggs.

Brett Wisely (4-1) fanned six and didn't walk a batter for the Commodores.

Kyler Marquis and Jarrod Cande drove in a run apiece in the second inning of game two and the Saints held a 4-3 advantage after two. A solo homerun by Justin Kelly put the Commodores up 6-5 in the sixth and GCSC reliever Weston Bizzle earned the save by keeping the Saints off the scoreboard over the last three innings.

Isaiah Perry and Tyler Zayas has two hist apiece on the day for the Saints.

The Saints will travel to Winter Haven on Monday to take on Polk State College in a game scheduled to start at 5 p.m.
