For the second day in a row the Saints fell behind early and were unable to come from behind as the fell to the Patriots of the College of Central Florida 7-4 Saturday afternoon in Ocala.
CF (28-3, 7-2 MFC) scored three runs in the first inning and three more in the second and held off all Saints threats the rest of their way to their third straight win over the Saints.
"We have to get better starting pitching as we move forward,' said SF head coach Johnny Wiggs. "Arguelles pitched a great six innings and gave us a chance."
The Saints scored two runs in the eighth inning thanks mostly to four walks but couldn't get it any closer.
"They gave us some opportunities, but we just couldn't get the big hit when we needed it," said Wiggs.
The Saints (20-11, 1-5 MFC) will have a few days to get ready for St. Johns River State College who will come to Gainesville for a 3 p.m. game on Wednesday.
