Arguelles and the Saints Power Past SCF, 4-2 and 13-2

Gainesville, FL – The Santa Fe Saints (12-5) picked up a pair of big road wins on Saturday afternoon, powering their way past State College of Florida 4-2 and 13-2.  SF combined for 24 hits in the double header, six of them coming off the bat of sophomore Evelyn Arguelles.
Santa Fe spread their runs out in the first game plating a run in the first, third, fourth and sixth. The Manatees scored two in the sixth but Autumn Green came in in relief of Brielle Morichetti to shut the door.  Morichetti earned the win with 5.1 innings, allowing just one hit and two walks. Green picked up the save.
Arguelles, Adrix Paradizo Ramos, and Bailee Moll had two hits each.
Game two was all SF from the outset.  The Saints lit up the scoreboard for four runs in the first, four runs in the second, a pair in the  three more in the fourth.  The game was ended after five innings due to the mercy rule.
The top five hitters in the Santa Fe lineup combined for 13 hits, 11 RBI, and 12 runs scored.  Arguelles was 4-for-4 with four RBI, Shailynn Morales finished 3-for-3 with three runs adored and two RBI, Natalia Bellinger was 3-for-4 with two RBI and three runs  Bailee Moll finished with a pair of hits and three runs scored.
The Saints will play a triangle on Saturday, March 4, hosting Tallahassee CC at 12 noon and Georgia Military College at 4:00 PM.  TCC and GMC will play at 2:00 PM.
