Williams and Law Continue After SF Basketball

Destiny Williams and Janasia Law sign their letter of intent forms.

Emphatic cheers and supporting smiles surrounded Santa Fe student-athletes who were celebrated during their four-year institution intent signings Tuesday April 16.

The women's basketball program showcased sophomores Destiny Williams and Janasia Law who have already made their destination decisions. 

Williams will continue her academic and athletic career at Ottawa University in Arizona, while Law heads to Delaware State University.

Saints head coach Chanda Stebbins talked about her sophomores' Santa Fe careers and what the future holds for both women to the crowd. "I am happy for Destiny and Janasia as they continue to pursue their goals. Certainly Janasia with her scoring abilities as well as her ability to create and Destiny with her interior presence will make an impact in their next level."  She continued, "I think each for their own reasons will be great contributors at the next level."

Fellow sophomores Keaubree Edwards, Julie Fournier, Airneisha Gamble, Dallas Kennedy, Stephanie Jackson, and Rhea Smith and are expected to announce their destination decisions in the near future.

The team finished the 2018-19 season with a 20-8 overall record and are the 2019 Mid-Florida Conference champions.
