Kailyn Howard will serve as the Student At-Large Member on the FCSAA Executive Committee
Gainesville, FL
Sophomore Kailyn Howard was chosen for a Student At-Large position on the FCSAA Executive Committee. Howard enters her second year as a captain on the Saints Volleyball team and served as the Vice President of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (S.A.A.C.) in 2024-25; now she will assume the role of President for the 2025-26 academic year.
"Howard is a natural leader and will be a great voice for fellow students in the FCSAA, she is someone who understands what it takes to lead her peers" notes Athletic Director Chanda Stebbins.
Howard is joined by two other Santa Fe College representatives: Dr. Asha Brunings, (Brain Bowl State Advisor) a Professor of Microbiology at SF as well as Dr. Jennifer Forshee, (Model United Nations State Advisor) an Associate Professor of Social Sciences at the College.
Santa Fe College's three committee members are part of the 24-person FCSAA Executive Committee representing all FCSAA Institutions. The FCSAA Executive Committee is the chief administrative body of the FCSAA and is charged with the responsibility of overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Association. The Executive Committee, with the FCSAA President as presiding officer, is empowered by the Presidents Assembly to initiate the policies and implement the practices necessary for the operation of the Association.
"Kailyn Howard has been an outstanding leader for our department, for her team, and for other student-athletes" says Stebbins. "We are excited to see her impact extend to the FCSAA Executive Committee, I know she will gain valuable experience from this service."
