Tegan Grizzard has been selected as this week's Santa Fe Saints UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Tuesday Teammate of the Week!

Grizzard has shown her support for the Saints early this season, helping to take Volleyball game action pictures alongside the College's photographer, Matt Stamey. Grizzard has also volunteered to take gate admissions and help as a ball roller for the first couple home volleyball matches. Her altruistic efforts have not gone unnoticed and have helped kick off the 2025-26 year on a strong note.

Grizzard enters her second season with the Saints Softball program and is looking to continue her early success from just a year ago.

Throughout 2025, Grizzard hit .333 with 3 home runs in 53 games. The righty from St. Petersburg, Florida played at shortstop and fielded .899. Grizzard also showcased her elite speed on the basepaths, swiping 35 of 38 bases.

UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine sponsors a "Teammate of the Week" selection from all five Santa Fe Saints sports teams.  The Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC), the SF sport specific coaches, and the athletic director nominate deserving Saints for this weekly award.  Teammates of the week will embody the character qualities the SAINTS (Seek, Aware, Integrity, Noble-Minded, Thankful, and Safe) emphasize and value.  SF Student-Athletes who impact their team, community, classmates, and families for the better are the best candidates for this weekly award hosted by proud SF partner UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine.
