Malanie Francis is this week's Santa Fe Saints UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Tuesday Teammate of the week!

Francis has been a helping hand for her first-year teammates this semester, as she has taken the lead in helping them acclimate to college life at Santa Fe College. Francis has gone above and beyond in assisting them in completing and filing the necessary paperwork in a timely fashion, and has walked with them around campus to show them the essential buildings. 

She has also be present at many volleyball matches early in the season, cheering them on in a thrilling 3-2 come from behind victory. Francis will enter her second season with the Saints in 2025-26. Francis averaged 1.5 points and 1.6 rebounds in 17 games last season. 

UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine sponsors a "Teammate of the Week" selection from all five Santa Fe Saints sports teams.  The Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC), the SF sport specific coaches, and the athletic director nominate deserving Saints for this weekly award.  Teammates of the week will embody the character qualities the SAINTS (Seek, Aware, Integrity, Noble-Minded, Thankful, and Safe) emphasize and value.  SF Student-Athletes who impact their team, community, classmates, and families for the better are the best candidates for this weekly award hosted by proud SF partner UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine.
