UF Health Ortho Teammate Selection: Ben Monger
This Week's Tuesday Teammate of the Week is Ben Monger!
Gainesville, FL
Ben Monger is this week's Santa Fe Saints UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Tuesday Teammate of the Week!
Monger enters the 2026 season in third season with the Saints after spending 2024 as a redshirt. The 6'2" RHP played at Bishop Kenny and is from Jacksonville, Florida.
Monger has proven his leadership early on this academic year both within his team and in the athletic department. He is always willing to lend a helping hand and helped the athletic department staff paint lines on the intramural fields. He is often seen supporting Santa Fe Volleyball and has volunteered to assist as a ball roller numerous times to improve the pace of their games.
The righty is slotted to play a big role with the Saints pitching staff this season; utilizing his multiple pitch arsenal each time he is on the mound.
UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine sponsors a "Teammate of the Week" selection from all five Santa Fe Saints sports teams. The Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC), the SF sport specific coaches, and the athletic director nominate deserving Saints for this weekly award. Teammates of the week will embody the character qualities the SAINTS (Seek, Aware, Integrity, Noble-Minded, Thankful, and Safe) emphasize and value. SF Student-Athletes who impact their team, community, classmates, and families for the better are the best candidates for this weekly award hosted by proud SF partner UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine.
