UF Health Ortho Teammate Selection: Joel Harrison
This Week's Tuesday Teammate of the Week is Joel Harrison!
Gainesville, FL
Joel Harrison is this week's Santa Fe Saints UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Tuesday Teammate of the Week!
He enters his second year with Santa Fe Basketball after redshirting in 2024-25. The 6'2 guard is from Tampa, Florida and played at Oldsmar Christian before signing at Georgia Southwestern. Harrison the signed with the Santa Fe in 2024-25.
Harrison has been someone who has risen to be a natural leader for the Saints by helping the younger players have a smooth transition to Santa Fe College both on the court and on campus. Despite an injury that kept him out of the first couple weeks of the year, Harrison has been vocal in practices, helping the new guys understand plays and the practice agenda. Off the court has been no different, serving as a resource for new players to help them understand campus and athletic department processes.
Harrison is a shifty guard who brings high IQ and a natural feel for the game to Santa Fe in 2025-26.
UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine sponsors a "Teammate of the Week" selection from all five Santa Fe Saints sports teams. The Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC), the SF sport specific coaches, and the athletic director nominate deserving Saints for this weekly award. Teammates of the week will embody the character qualities the SAINTS (Seek, Aware, Integrity, Noble-Minded, Thankful, and Safe) emphasize and value. SF Student-Athletes who impact their team, community, classmates, and families for the better are the best candidates for this weekly award hosted by proud SF partner UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine.
