UF Ortho Teammate Selection: Kaden Howell
This week's Tuesday Teammate of the Week is Kaden Howell!
Gainesville, FL
Kaden Howell is this week's UF Ortho Tuesday Teammate of the Week!
Howell is in his first season with Santa Fe Baseball in 2026. Originally from Lakeland, Florida, he's a 6'4' pitcher who played at McKeel Academy of Technology and played club for PYF Rays.
Howell has appeared on the mound in 7 games this season, holding a 3.63 ERA in 17.1 innings pitched with 16 strikeouts. The powerful righty has just walked six batters and holds a WHIP of 1.67 while striking out over 8 batters per 9 inings of work.
Both coaches and teammates alike have described him as helpful, energetic, and positive. He motivates and uplifts his teammates and he's always eager to lend a helping hand wherever needed. His energy and enthusiasm are reflected at practice, during games, and off the field in class, team activities, and elsewhere. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his friends and family and playing Spikeball at the beach.
UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine sponsors a "Teammate of the Week" selection from all five Santa Fe Saints sports teams. The Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC), the SF sport specific coaches, and the athletic director nominate deserving Saints for this weekly award. Teammates of the week will embody the character qualities the SAINTS (Seek, Aware, Integrity, Noble-Minded, Thankful, and Safe) emphasize and value. SF Student-Athletes who impact their team, community, classmates, and families for the better are the best candidates for this weekly award hosted by proud SF partner UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine.
