UF Ortho Tuesday Teammate Selection: Joana Farias
This week's Tuesday Teammate of the week is Joana Farias!

Joana Farias is this week's Tuesday Teammate of the Week!
Farias is in her first season with Santa Fe Volleyball in 2025-26. She's a 6'0" middle blocker originally from Brazil, where she played volleyball for both her school and club.
Farias recently joined Santa Fe in the spring as she hit .250 over the weekend at the combined volleyball scrimmage against USF and FAMU hosted at Santa Fe.
Head Coach Bailey Coleman says she's adjusting well from her transition overseas, and she's working hard at practice while she navigates life in Gainesville. In Brazil, she lives by the beach, so she enjoys going to the pool and the beach here in Florida in her free time, as well as spending time with her new teammates.
UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine sponsors a "Teammate of the Week" selection from all five Santa Fe Saints sports teams. The Student-Athlete Advisory Council (SAAC), the SF sport specific coaches, and the athletic director nominate deserving Saints for this weekly award. Teammates of the week will embody the character qualities the SAINTS (Seek, Aware, Integrity, Noble-Minded, Thankful, and Safe) emphasize and value. SF Student-Athletes who impact their team, community, classmates, and families for the better are the best candidates for this weekly award hosted by proud SF partner UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine.
