Saints' Adams Named Region 8 Baseball Pitcher of the Week
The Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) and the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Region 8 has awarded Saints student-athlete Robb Adams Baseball Pitcher of the Week honors for games played February 10 through February 16.
Currently possessing a national ranking at #15 and a #3 rank within the Region, the Saints are making everyone take notice of their talented team, which includes gems like Adams.
Robb Adams, a left-handed pitcher from Arcadia, Fla., earned a 1-0, 0.00 EAR in his only outing of the week. He started the game against Hillsborough Community College and threw seven ho-hit innings and struck out nine, helping the Saints to a 3-1 victory.
Saints head coach Johnny Wiggs said, "Robb was super versus Hillsborough. He had everything working from his fastball to his off-speed to hi location – he is tough on hitters when he has it all going."
Adams and the Saints (12-4) play at home on Friday, February 21 against Polk State College.
First pitch is scheduled for 3 p.m.
