College of Central Florida Evens Baseball Series with 11-1 Win
OCALA, Fla. – After winning the Mid-Florida Conference opener over the College of Central Florida on Saturday, the Patriots were able to tie the series up at 1-1 with a dominant 11-1 result in a run-rule shortened, five inning matchup.
The College of Central Florida produced runs in all four of their innings to the plate, including five runs in the second.
Although Santa Fe scored a run in the third, the Saints were unable to contain the CF at-bats and didn't have their best day at the plate.
Key Statistics
Inside their own ballfield, the Patriots' bats jumped all over the Saints' pitching, outproducing the SF bats in hits, 12-2.
CF had six doubles, a triple, and a home run, as the Patriots' lineup was able to spray the ball all over the field.
On the mound for SF, Trent Becker took the loss, while Jalen Hudson and Carson Pillsbury each threw out of the bullpen.
Each of the two SF hits in the game were doubles, one from Wyatt Campbell and the other from Xavier Moronta.
