Campbell signs with Florida Southern
Dual-threat Wyatt Campbell has signed with the Florida Southern Moccasins

Redshirt Sophomore pitcher and infielder Wyatt Campbell will continue his baseball career at Florida Southern College.
After playing four years of varsity baseball at North Marion High School in Citra, FL, Wyatt Campbell started his collegiate baseball career with Lipscomb University. Fast forward to 2024 and he has been a Santa Fe Saint for three years, including a redshirt year for the 2022-2023 season. Campbell has shown extreme versatility playing as both an infielder and pitcher in his two seasons with Santa Fe.
The past season was a productive one for Campbell, posting a batting average of .259 while hitting five home runs, earning 27 RBIs, and scoring 31 times over 48 games played. At the plate, he also recorded 18 total extra base hits, the third most on the team. Campbell appeared in six games on the mound for Santa Fe, with a record of 1-1 and four no decisions. He held a 4.55 ERA, the second lowest on the team, and allowed only three extra base hits while striking out 36 over 29.2 innings pitched.
Florida Southern baseball competes in the Sunshine State conference in NCAA Division II play. They are currently coached by Lance Niekro, who boasts a record of 318-232-1 in 12 seasons as head coach for the Moccasins. Florida Southern holds the record for the most appearances as well as victories in NCAA Division II postseason history and currently hold a .651 winning percentage all-time in postseason play. In 2023, the Moccasins earned a postseason birth but were quickly eliminated from championship contention in the south regional section of the tournament. Florida Southern baseball has won a total of nine NCAA Division II championships, with the most recent being in 2005. They have also had over 145 players selected in the MLB Draft, dating back to 1965.
