Saints Score in All Eight Innings to Secure Victory
Montanez and Chase led the Saints with three hits each, Carnell recorded three RBIs

Santa Fe Baseball improved to 4-2 with a 12-9 victory against TNXL Academy.
TNXL Academy were the first to get on the board in the first when Veras doubled, scoring one run. Akhil Nimmala grounded out, which helped the Saints tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.
Santos singled and scored one run to give TNXL Academy a 2-1 in the top of the second. Santa Fe scored on a wild pitch, tying the game at two in the bottom of the second.
A walk by Samuel Castillo gave the Saints the lead 3-2 in the bottom of the third.
Traylor homered to right field following a six-pitch at-bat, which helped TNXL Academy tie the game at three in the top of the fourth. A sacrifice fly by Noah Hayse gave Santa Fe Saints the lead, 4-3, in the bottom of the fourth.
A home run to center field by Veras gave TNXL Academy the lead 5-4 in the top of the fifth. In the bottom of the fifth inning, Santa Fe regained the lead 6-5 after Cole Carnell homered to right field, and Shawn Andrade singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.
TNXL Academy jumped into the lead in the top of the sixth when Santos homered to center field, scoring two runs, and Melendez drew a walk, scoring one run. Santa Fe regained the lead 10-8 in the bottom of the sixth with a Carnell triple.
TNXL Academy scored one run in the top of the ninth on a solo home run to right field by Veras, but the Saints prevailed with a 12-9 win.
James Suarez earned the win for the Saints. The reliever gave up three hits and four runs over four and one-third innings, striking out seven and walking two. Matthew Pagan started on the mound for Santa Fe, allowing eight hits and five runs over four and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking two. Evans led things off on the bump for TNXL Academy. The pitcher surrendered two hits and two runs over two innings, striking out four and walking two.
Santa Fe collected 12 hits in the game. Hayden Montanez and Ryan Chase both collected three hits for Santa Fe Saints while hitting at the top of the lineup. Carnell led the Saints with three RBIs, going 2-for-4 on the day. Maddox Lee also collected two hits in four at-bats. The Saints tallied five stolen bases, with two each by Lee and Andrade and one by Castillo.
