FSW Powers Past Santa Fe
The Bucs outhit the Saints 15-12 and hit five home runs

Five runs in the bottom of the sixth inning helped lift Florida SouthWestern State College to an 11-8 victory at home against Santa Fe.
A double by James Suarez in the top of the fourth scored Ryan Chase, Hayden Montanez, and Matthew Hall to give the Saints a 3-1 lead. However, the Bucs responded with three runs of their own in the bottom of the fourth to take a 4-3 lead.
Santa Fe regained the lead 5-2 in the top of the sixth with a single by Maddox Lee to score Montanez and a sacrifice fly by Chase to score Lee. FSW hit two home runs in the bottom of the sixth to score five runs and take a 9-5 lead.
Down 11-5 entering the top of the ninth, the Saints scored three runs with one out to cut the deficit to 11-8. Lee grounded out to score Tucker Hansen, and Joseph Calise singled to score Montanez and Samuel Castillo. Suarez drew a two-out walk to load the bases, but the Saints were unable to capitalize with any runs and the Bucs won 11-8.
Santa Fe drew 12 walks in the game, but Florida SouthWestern flexed their power to score seven runs on five home runs.
Hayden Montanez led the Saints with three hits and three runs while also drawing two walks. Ryan Chase led the Saints with three walks, and James Suarez drew two walks.
The Saints will host Florida SouthWestern State College on Saturday, February 28th in a doubleheader starting at 12:00pm.
