Saints secure game one win
14-hit day gets the Saints back in the win column

Santa Fe (14-15) takes the first game from Miami Dade (15-13-1) 5-2 on Thursday afternoon.
Santa Fe got on the board in the top of the first inning after Cole Carnell singled down the right field line, and Akhil Nimmala walked, each scoring one run. The Saints added another run in the third after Tucker Hansen singled down the right field line following a 6-pitch at-bat.
Caleb Clanton pitched five and two-thirds innings in relief. The hurler allowed two hits and one run while, striking out four and walking two. Easton McMahan stepped on the bump first for the Saints, giving up three hits and one run over three and one-third innings, striking out none and walking two.
Santa Fe accumulated 14 hits in the game. Carnell drove the middle of the lineup, leading Santa Fe with two RBI's and went 2-for-5 on the day. Nimmala, the number seven hitter, led the team with three hits in four at-bats. Joseph Calise, James Suarez, and Shawn Andrade each collected multiple hits.
The win gets the Saints back in the win column as they look to take the series vs Miami Dade on Saturday, March 21st at 12:00 and 3:00 in Gainesville.
