Santa Fe College (15-18, 4-15) lost 12-3 in seven innings at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (23-12, 12-7) on Thursday, March 26th.
James Suarez scored on a wild pitch to put the Saints up 1-0 in the top of the first inning, but the Manatees responded with four runs of their own in the bottom of the first.
The Manatees scored four more runs in the bottom of the first and added a run in both the fifth and sixth innings to extend their lead to 10-1.
Akhil Nimmala followed up a Cole Carnell leadoff single with a home run in the top of the seventh to cut the deficit to 10-3, but the Manatees followed up a leadoff single in the bottom of the seventh with a home run of their own to end the game 12-3.
Cole Carnell lead the team with two hits.
The Saints will look to bounce back as they host State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota for a doubleheader starting at 12:00pm on Saturday, March 28th.
