Brady Wright signs to the University of Tampa
Gainesville, FL
Brady Wright has committed to the University of Tampa to continue his athletic and academic career. Wright hails from Palm Harbor, FL and is a graduate of East Lake High School. He intends to major in Sports Management.
Wright worked hard to improve from his successful freshman season and became a reliable option on the mound in 2026. Despite appearing in one less game than in his freshman season, Wright pitched 23.1 more innings, notched 5 more starts, struck out 22 more batters, and reduced his ERA significantly. Granted his efforts, Wright earned a spot as a trusted guy on the mound, which brought a greater workload in his sophomore season. He struck out 38 batters in his 8 starts kept his ERA to a 6.20, all improvements from his first year.
Wright's ascension earned him a spot with the University of Tampa, one of the best programs in DII. The Spartans just won their third consecutive National Championship, beating West Chester in the DII World Series. Proving their worth on the big stage, the Spartans were dominant during the regular season with a 49-8 record. Heading to a team with a championship pedigree, Wright will bring experience to help chase a four-peat, something that has never been done before in Division II or Division III.
