Aldridge to Attend Elizabeth City State University
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Guard G'Shan Aldridge of Santa Fe College Men's Basketball has made a commitment to attend Elizabeth City State University to play for the Vikings.
Aldridge is from Jacksonville, Fla., and prior to SF, he attended University Christian High School and Florida State College at Jacksonville.
2021-2022 was his first season with the Saints, after being chosen as a First Team All-Conference performer at FSCJ. The quick ballhandler contributed in 18 games for the Saints, and put up a season-high 16 points against his former team on Feb. 12.
ECSU Men's Basketball is coached by Shawn Walker, and the team finished 2021-2022 with a record of 14-13 overall and 7-9 in the NCAA Division II Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA).
The university is located in Elizabeth City, N.C., and the Vikings' 2021-2022 schedule included NC State and University of North Carolina (among others), before the Tar Heels advanced all the way to the NCAA National Championship Game.
Aldridge is now the first men's basketball commitment to be announced on santafesaints.com, with more soon to come.
Santa Fe's 2021-2022 season went down as one of the program's best, and concluded with a 24-6 mark overall, a Central Conference Championship, and an appearance at the FCSAA/NJCAA Region VIII State Tournament.
