Lovette signs with the Barons
Santa Fe Saint Ashton Lovette has signed with the Brewton-Parker Barons
Gainesville, FL.
Sophomore Ashton Lovette has decided to continue his collegiate basketball career at Brewton-Parker College.
Lovette is originally from Gainesville, FL and attended Trinity Catholic High School. Before coming to Santa Fe, he played his freshman season at Davis & Elkins College in Elkins, West Virginia where he appeared in 19 games and started in 10.
During his sole season as a Saint, Lovette produced on both ends of the court. Lovette started in all 30 games and averaged an impressive 9.9 points on 38.2% shooting, 5.1 rebounds, and just over two steals per game, all while only playing 11.9 minutes per game. His contributions were instrumental to the team's success, amassing a total of 298 points and 65 steals on the season.
Brewton-Parker College is a private Baptist college located in Mount Vernon, Georgia. They compete in the Southern States Athletics Conference of the NAIA. The Barons are coached by Leonard Epps, who joined the team in 2022. Prior to Brewton-Parker, Epps led the Toccoa Falls Screaming Eagles to a regional first-place finish in 2022 and was honored as the NCCAA South Region Coach of the Year in 2021.
