Gainesville, FL – The FCSAA Tournament bound Santa Fe Saints (31-18, 14-10 MFC) offense was on full display Thursday afternoon in their final Mid-Florida Conference double header against Lake Sumter State College. SF scored 25 runs in the double header, needing just 10 offensive innings to do so. They hit five homeruns, including two by freshman Charlene Contreras and a grand slam by sophomore Shailynn Morales.

Gainesville, FL – On Sunday in Jacksonville the Santa Fe Saints inched themselves closer to a FCSAA Tournament berth, taking two games over Florida State College-Jacksonville 4-2 and 7-2. SF (28-17, 11-9 MFC) now holds a four game lead over Lake Sumter State College (20-34, 6-12 MFC) with four games to play. The Lakehawks still have six games to play, including two at Santa Fe on Thursday, April 13 at 2:30 and 4:30 p.m. Those two games will be broadcast on the Saints Sports Network.

Gainesville, FL – The Santa Fe Saints (24-13, 8-6 MFC) did just enough on Thursday afternoon against Daytona State College, sweeping the Falcons by identical 1-0 scores in Gainesville. Brielle Morichetti was lights out in the circle for SF in game one, holding DSC to three hits. She kept the ball down and forced 14 ground outs out of 21 total outs.

It looked like SF may come away with a sweep but four unanswered runs in the fifth and sixth inning by Lake Sumter gave the Lakehawks a 10-9 win and a double header split.

Gainesville, FL – The Santa Fe Saints came into Thursday needing a pair of wins over Mid-Florida Conference rivals St. John’s River State College and they did just that, outlasting the Vikings in extra innings 7-6 and then run ruled SJRSC 10-2 in game two. The victories move SF (21-12, 5-5 MFC) into fourth place in the Mid-Florida Conference. The top four teams will qualify for the FCSAA Tournament at the end of April in Vero Beach. The Saints pulled out the game one win despite some costly errors. SF maintained their composure and fought back from a 4-1 deficit with a three run fourth inning to tie the score and took the lead an inning later on a RBI double by Raelye Rouw and a sacrifice fly by Shelby West.
