After sweeping the Eagles on February 12th, Santa Fe traveled to Tallahassee State College on Thursday, February 26th and swept them again.
Game 1
The Saints took a 3-0 lead in the top of the second and never looked back as they won 13-2.
Haylee McCrea scored on a wild pitch, and Rylie Blankenship and Camryn VanGalder scored on a single by Mckenzie Cox to give the Saints a 3-0 lead in the top of the second innning.
Santa Fe scored 5 runs each in the sixth and seventh innings to secure their 13-2 win.
Kadence Compton homered in the sixth inning and Sydney English homered in the seventh inning.
Haylee McCrea led the team with three hits and three runs. Mckenzie Cox and Molly Bender both delivered three RBIs, and five Saints stole a base.
Belle Mancillas pitched all seven innings, recording seven strikeouts while allowing seven hits, one walk, and two runs.
Game 2
Santa Fe picked up where they left off in the first game, scoring seven runs in the top of the first in Game 2 and held on to win 10-2.
Mckenzie Cox drew a leadoff walk to start the game, and Molly Bender followed up with a home run to put the Saints up 2-0. Sydney English walked, Miranda Murch singled, and Haylee McCrea and Ellie Frierson hit back-to-back singles to score English and Murch and extend the lead to 4-0. Camryn VanGalder walked, and Cox made a second appearance in the inning and doubled to score McCrea, Frierson, and VanGalder and further extend the lead to 7-0.
Rylie Blankenship scored on a passed ball and Bender singled to score Cox and Tegan Grizzard as the Saints increased their lead to 10-1 in the top of the third.
Molly Bender led the team with four RBIs and tied Ellie Frierson with two hits to lead the team. Sydney English led the team with two walks.
Chloe Woods started for the Saints, recording three strikeouts while allowing four hits and one run. Skyler Alvarez pitched relief, allowing one hit, one walk, and one run in one inning.
The Saints have the weekend off and then travel to Daytona State College on Tuesday, March 3rd for a doubleheader starting at 1:00pm. Santa Fe split at Daytona last season, winning the first game in eight innings and losing the second game.
