Santa Fe Saints lost to Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers 5-3 on Saturday.
A single by Hannah Hargrave put Santa Fe on the board in the top of the second.
FSW flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the frame however, scoring five runs on five hits to take the lead, 5-1.
Chloe Woods pitched four innings in relief for Santa Fe . The reliever gave up three hits and zero runs while, striking out one and walking two. Belle Mancillas led things off in the circle for Santa Fe Saints. The hurler gave up five hits and five runs (four earned) over two innings, striking out none and walking two. Kwakennaak stepped in the circle first for Florida SouthWestern State Buccaneers. The starter gave up six hits and three runs over five innings, striking out three and walking three.
McKenzie Cox, Sydney English, and Hannah Hargrave each drove in one run for Santa Fe Saints. English went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Santa Fe Saints in hits. Santa Fe Saints turned one double play in the game.
