Slow Start Dooms Saints in 92-89 Loss to Miami Dade
Miami, FL – The Santa Fe Saints (5-3) struggled out of the gates against Miami Dade College Saturday afternoon before making a late charge with 64 second half points, but a late three point attempt rimmed out, giving the Sharks a 92-89 win.

Miami, FL – The Santa Fe Saints (5-3) struggled out of the gates against Miami Dade College Saturday afternoon before making a late charge with 64 second half points, but a late three point attempt rimmed out, giving the Sharks a 92-89 win.
Miami controlled the action through the first 20 minutes, holding the Saints in check for a 39-25 halftime advantage. SF figured out their offensive woes in the second half and stormed back to within three with three seconds left. Out of a timeout, Bri Roberts got an open look to tie the game and just missed.
Five players scored in double figures for Santa Fe, led by 21 from Deja McPhee. Ashley Perry scored 17, Kayla Lovett had 14, Tatiana Manuel 13, and Litisha Speights 12.
The win by MDC ties the season series at 1-1. The Saints defeated the Sharks 80-72 on November 1 in Gainesville.
Santa Fe will continue in Miami tomorrow against Broward College at 11:00 AM. The next home game for SF is December 4 against Pensacola State College
