Emanuel-Wright Goes for 21 in Saints 74-69 Win Over CF

Gainesville, FL – Santa Fe finished the regular season on a strong note Saturday evening, defeating the College of Central Florida 74-69 in Ocala to finish the three game season sweep. Ari Emanuel-Wright had her second 20-plus point game of the season, finishing with 21 to lead all scorers.

Gainesville, FL – Santa Fe finished the regular season on a strong note Saturday evening, defeating the College of Central Florida 74-69 in Ocala to finish the three game season sweep.  Ari Emanuel-Wright had her second 20-plus point game of the season, finishing with 21 to lead all scorers.
SF controlled the tempo in the first quarter and held the Patriots to just 11 points, leading 16-11 through the first 10 minutes.  They expanded their lead further in the second quarter to take a 39-30 lead into the half time break.
CF bounced back in the third quarter to trim the margin to just three heading into the fourth quarter.  The Saints turned back up the defensive pressure and outscored CF by two over the final period to take home the five point win, building momentum at the end of the regular season.
Evelina Avleeva (14) and Bri Roberts (11) joined Emanuel-Wright in double figures.
Next up for the Saints is the FCSAA Tournament March 3-5 in Ocala at the College of Central Florida.  Santa Fe (15-13) is the #2 MFC seed and will face the #2 Southern Conference seed in the first round on Thursday, March 3 at 3:00 PM.  Fans can watch live on theFCSAA Sports YouTube channel
