Alexander Commits with Rust College Women's Basketball
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - After two seasons with Santa Fe College women's basketball, Zoé Alexander has committed to continue her playing career at Rust College.
Rust College is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and the Gulf Coast Athletic Conference (GCAC). The College is located in Holly Springs, Miss.
In 2020-2021, Head Coach Eric Jackson helped lead the Bearcats to a record of 13-2 overall and 5-1 in conference play before bowing out in the GCAC Semifinals.
Alexander, a sophomore guard from Orlando, Fla. and Dr. Phillips High School, claimed First Team honors in the Central Conference in 2020-2021 after claiming Second Team Mid-Florida Conference honors in 2019-2020 for Head Coach Chanda Stebbins.
Alexander led Santa Fe with 11.7 points per game this past season. No. 10 also ranked second on the team in rebounds per game (5.7) and first in assists per game (2.9). The guard started in 19 of the Saints' 20 games, putting up double-digit scoring efforts on 11 occasions.
She recorded three double-doubles on the season in points and rebounds. Her season-high totals in each of those two categories came in a game at Florida State College at Jacksonville on Feb. 24, when she notched a career-high with 26 points and grabbed 13 rebounds.
Alexander was also instrumental in Santa Fe's 69-65 road win at No. 20 St. Petersburg, contributing 24 points and ten rebounds.
