Santa Fe (3-7) falls to Miami Dade (6-6) 67-87 in the final game of 2025 for the Saints.
Despite Zion McRae's 22 point performance, the Saints could not keep up with the fast paced Sharks offense as two Sharks scored over 30 points to lead the Sharks to victory. A close 37-30 halftime score sent Santa Fe into the locker room down only seven points, and hopeful of a second half comeback, but was quickly stifled by a strong defensive third quarter from Miami Dade.
Three Saints finished the game in double figures, McRae with 22, Lorianys Castanon Cruz with 14 and Claudia Ordonez with 13. Blanca Garcia totaled 9 rebounds while Taylor Hackett collected three steals.
Santa Fe returns home in the new year on Wednesday, January 7th at 5:00 as they take on Daytona State.
