Taylor Hackett signs to Florida Memorial University
Gainesville, FL
Taylor Hackett will be headed to Miami Gardens to attend Florida Memorial University. Hackett spent her first two years with Santa Fe at the guard position, being recruited from Florida State University High School after winning a Defensive Player of the Year award. In the classroom, Hackett looks to pursue Health Sciences as her major.
As a defender, Hackett brought her reputation right into Santa Fe and earned her guard role as a freshman, one which she maintained during her sophomore year. Across her career, she recorded 97 defensive rebounds and 75 steals. She recorded at least two steals in 9 games during her 2025-26 campaign, providing a strong defensive presence when on the court.
In the classroom, Hackett made the most of her time with Santa Fe. She was a member of the SAAC Committee, providing valuable insight as a student-athlete. She also earned three All-Saints Academic Team awards for her classroom achievement.
Hackett will bring her talents to a Florida Memorial University women's basketball team that displayed plenty of it in the 2025-26 season. The Lions went 16-9 during the campaign, winning 7 of their final 8 regular season games heading into the Sun Conference Tournament. Joining a successful team, Hackett will have plenty of talent to work alongside as she continues her playing career.
