Gainesville, FL – Santa Fe recently knocked off the #1 team in the FCSAA poll, sending the Saints up to #3 in the most recent edition, and will look to build on their 8-1 start when four year college Webber International University (1-7) makes the trip to Gainesville Wednesday night.

Gainesville, FL – Santa Fe recently knocked off the #1 team in the FCSAA poll, sending the Saints up to #3 in the most recent edition, and will look to build on their 8-1 start when four year college Webber International University (1-7) makes the trip to Gainesville Wednesday night.
The Saints are coming off their biggest victory of the season, a five set win over the top team in the state, Palm Beach State College. SF will meet the Panthers of PBSC again this upcoming weekend, along with 2014 FCSAA champions Miami Dade College, and national tournament qualifier Polk State College.
Defense has been the name of the game for Santa Fe, who ranked in the top 20 in the nation in digs, and block assists. On the attacking side, freshman Nadine Williams is 8th in the FCSAA in kills with 125, and 7th in kills per set (3.29). Kelly Collins 159 digs is good for 8th in the state, and Amanda Torres (217) and Massiel Castillo (171) are both in the top 15 in the state in assists.
