Santa Fe falls to Hillsborough
Santa Fe traveled to Hillsborough for a conference match up and fell 3-1

Santa Fe Volleyball took the drive on Saturday, September 27th for a conference match-up vs the Hillsborough Community College Hawks. The Saints ended up falling 3 sets to 1 and now hold an 8-9 record.
The first set was a close one, with both teams keeping within a couple points of each other. The Saints found themselves at a 21-15 deficit, however, and couldn't pull ahead; dropping the first set 20-25.
The second set started in a similar way, with the Saints trailing 10-11. The Hawks strung 8 points in a row to take the lead 19-11, and the lead proved to be too much for the Saints as they fell 16-25 in the sceond set.
Set number three was all Santa Fe. The Saints bounced back from their early two sets to none deficit and rallied to take set number three. After fining themselves down 1-5, Santa Fe rallied to a 9-9 tie and then took advantage of some Hawk errors to go ahead 21-13. The Saints were able to clinch the third set by a score of 25-17.
Hillsborough took an early 7-3 lead in the fourth set and never looked back. Te Hawks took the fourth and final set 9-25, taking the match 3-1 over Santa Fe.
