Saints take 5 set thriller vs Eastern Florida
Santa Fe traveled to Eastern Florida for a weekend conference matchup on October 18th.

Santa Fe made the trip to Melbourne to finish their month-long road trip to take on the Eastern Florida State College Titans on Saturday, October 18th. The Saints came out on top after taking it the distance, 20-25, 25-22, 18-25, 25-23, 15-3.
The Saints (10-13) get back into the win column before their final two homes games to close the regular season vs Hillsborough (October 22nd) and Polk State (October 29th).
Emily Geaquinto led the way with 12 kills on the night, while Selena Placide added nine of her own and hit .300 throughout the five set affair. Three Saints totaled double digit digs; Madison Howard with 12 and both Geaquinto and Addison Mittauer adding 10 of their own.
Linnea Preston was a key defensive player, collecting 4 block assists to power the Saints to their win.
The moment of the match came in the fourth set, with the Saints down 18-23 and at risk of dropping the match if they were unable to complete a comeback. Madison Howard was able to serve out the set, winning seven points in a row and stunning the Titans 25-23, forcing a decisive set five which was later controlled by the Saints.
Santa Fe is next at home on Wednesday, October 22nd at 6:00 vs Hillsborough Community College at the Santa Fe Gymnasium
