Saints drop regular season finale
Santa Fe hosted Polk State College for the regular season finale with postseason play on the line

In the regular season finale, the Saints hosted the Polk State College Eagles. The Saints lost in three sets 21-25, 20-25, and 12-25.
The Saints also recognized Sophomores Mariana Haas, Kailyn Howard, Madison Howard, Jessica McKee, Linnea Preston, Emmy Rowland, and Nathalia Vasquez.
A kill by Kailyn Howard ended a 3-0 run by Polk State to start the first set. Selena Placide followed up with a block and K. Howard added an ace to tie the set 3-3. Madison Howard also served an ace, and the Saints took the lead 8-7 with a kill by Ife Talabi. An ace by the Eagles gave them a 14-9 lead, which they held on as they took the first set 25-21.
A block by Mariana Haas tied the second set 2-2, and a kill by Haas gave the Saints a 6-5 lead. K. Howard made the score 11-8 with two kills, then the Eagles were able to take the lead 13-12. The Saints regained the lead 15-13 with a kill by Linnea Preston. After being tied 19-19, the Eagles were able to take the second set 25-20.
The Saints took a 4-0 lead in the third set with two aces by Addison Mittauer, but the Eagles bounced back to take a 20-5 lead. Emmy Rowland recorded an ace, and Placide and Haas combined for a block to make the score 20-9. Facing match point at 24-11, Placide and Talabi recorded a block. The Eagles won match with a 25-12 set three win.
The Saints end the season with a 10-15 record, (2-10) in conference play.
