Volleyball hosts clinic in Newberry
Santa Fe Volleyball traveled to PSVA in Newberry for a youth clinic
Newberry, FL
Santa Fe Volleyball conducted a volleyball clinic for youth players aged 14 and younger at the local volleyball club in Newberry, Florida. The clinic was held at PSVA, or Pro Style Volleyball Academy.
Throughout the duration of the clinic, youth players were taught fundamental skills such as setting, hitting, blocking, and communicating with others on the court. The afternoon then progressed into live hitting where they were able to use what they had learned and show off their skills as the Saints coached and led them through various drills. At the conclusion of the drill portion, participants split into teams and were able to play points alongside SF Volleyball players as they gained real experience with and against collegiate competition.
Following the clinic, an insightful question and answer session was held with Santa Fe student-athletes and clinic participants. Some questions included "what an average day is like at Santa Fe, why they chose Santa Fe, and an inside look at recruiting to play at the next level."
"We are grateful for the chance to connect with the community" adds Head Coach Bailey Coleman. "Sharing the love of the game and inspiring young athletes is one of our favorite ways to give back to the community."
