Madison Howard signs to play at Roosevelt University
Gainesville, FL
Madison Howard will be attending Roosevelt University (IL) this fall as she continues her volleyball career after two years at Santa Fe College. She is a local native of Gainesville, graduating from Gainesville High School, playing varsity for three years. Academically, she intends to pursue a career and major in nursing.
Howard saw almost all of her numbers take a positive jump in 2025. Earning a career total of 335 digs, she posted 253 in her sophomore year alone; earning 367 more points along with 46 more assists. She earned a career-best 27 digs in a 3-1 win against Pasco-Hernando State College, further proving the improvement from her first year.
Howard made the most of her time in the classroom at Santa Fe. She earned NJCAA All-Academic and FCSAA Academic All-State honors during her freshman year, as well as All-Saints Academic Team honors in the Fall and Spring of the 2024-25 season.
Howard will have an immediate opportunity with Roosevelt to use her experience and veteran leadership. She will be part of a new chapter of Lakers Volleyball, with Jasmine Chambers being named head coach in January to lead the team. Howard was one of the first players signed to join Chambers this class, and will certainly make the most of the new opportunity while advancing her playing career.
