Geaquinto signs to Chattanooga
Emily Geaquinto signs to UT Chattanooga
Gainesville, FL
After a promising freshman year as a setter and outside hitter, Emily Geaquinto will be making the move from Gainesville to Chattanooga as she continues her volleyball career. Geaquinto is a native of Boca Raton, FL, and intends to major in Sports Management.
In her lone year, Geaquinto earned a starting role as a hybrid player. On the offensive side of the ball, Geaquinto posted 151 kills, 197 assists, and 200.5 points. Defensively, Geaquinto posted 174 digs, proving her importance on both sides of the ball. Given her multi-positional ability, Geaquinto brought a diverse skillset to help the Saints navigate a rigorous Citrus Conference schedule.
Academically, Geaquinto was recognized for multiple honors during her freshman year. She earned a 2025-26 FCSAA Academic All-State nod for her accomplishments, along with an All-Saints Academic Team nod in each of her two semesters at Santa Fe.
Geaquinto will be joining a Chattanooga squad that has been a sure bet to be a winning team under head coach Julie Torbett Thomas. In each of her four seasons as Chattanooga's head coach, Thomas' teams have posted winning records, appearing in the SoCon Semifinals twice. After a 16-13 finish in 2025, Geaquinto looks to play a key role in bringing Chattanooga to the next level and ultimately a NCAA Tournament appearance.
