GAINESVILLE, Fla. - Yakateema Tyson of Santa Fe College women's basketball will be making her way to Brunswick, Ga. after committing to the College of Coastal Georgia Mariners. 

Tyson is from Tampa, Fla., and prior to SF, she attended Jefferson High School and Lurleen B. Wallace Community College. At Santa Fe, she studied Business.

2022-2023 was her first season with the Saints, and she played in 12 games while grabbing ten rebounds for SF as the team made an FCSAA/NJCAA Region 8 Tournament appearance. 

College of Coastal Georgia Women's Basketball is coached by Denise Hannah, who began prior to the 2021-2022 season. The program competes in the NAIA and the Sun Conference.
