Saints Unable to Overcome Slow Start
The Titans used their 11-point halftime lead to secure the victory.

Santa Fe College (2-4) hosted the St. Petersburg College Titans (3-6) on Saturday, December 6th. The Titans secured a 65-54 victory.
St. Petersburg was up 13-9 at the end of the first quarter. The Titans went on a 7-0 run to start the second quarter and extended their lead to 20-9. Then, Aniyah Anderson and De'Mya Adams both made a three to cut the Saints' deficit to 15-20. The Titans extended their lead to 29-17 and took a 34-23 halftime lead.
The Titans extended their lead to 16 (52-36) at the end of the third quarter. Adams opened the fourth quarter with a three and a layup, forcing a timeout by the Titans as the Saints cut their deficit to 11 (41-52). Lorianys Castanon Cruz made a layup to cut the Titans' lead to single digits (52-43), but the Titans proceeded to extend their lead to 15 (63-48). Castanon Cruz made a pair of threes late, but the Titans held on to win 65-54.
Adams and Castanon Cruz led the Saints in scoring, with 13 and 12 points, respectively.
"We got out-physicaled, outmanned, and out-toughed on the glass, which was the difference in the game" said Head Coach David Lowery.
The Saints (2-5) will travel to the Florida SouthWestern State College Buccaneers (7-5) next Saturday, December 13th at 2:00pm.
