Santa Fe (7-16) (3-12) earns their third confernece win of the season with an 89-80 victory over Miami Dade (17-10) (10-6).
Santa Fe was on fire offensively all game as they scored their most points of the season in conference play and shot the highest FG% as well (55.9%). The Saints held the advantage after all four quarters (25-23, and converted on 10 shots from beyond the three point line.
Claudia Ordonez Cabello led all scorers with 27 points as Aniyah Anderson followed with 18, Lorianys Castanon Cruz with 16, an Zion McRae with 12 putting four Saints in double figures. Three Saints had 4 assists (McRae, Castanon Cruz, Taylor Hackett) and the team snatched 35 rebounds.
The Saints travel to Fort Myers on Wednesday to take on Florida SouthWestern as they look to take the series against the Bucs this season. FSW took the first meeting with a convincing 91-54 win in Fort Myers before Santa Fe stunned the Bucs 57-54 in Gainesville. Tipoff will be at 5:00pm.
